INTRODUCTION OF MNC's

After seeing the highly earned income by the DoT Government wanted to act smart and started to give license to some Multi National Company to comeand open their ventures in the Indian market so that the users can really have a choice to choose services. Soon big names Hutchison Essar, Vodafone and many others started to search for partners in the Indian economy so that they can start business in here. But don't forget we have some resident business tycoons like TATA's, MITTAL's , AMBANI's etc. who have probably shared the same dream of jioning hands with the western partners to get the spark into the telecom industry.

Soon the change was visible after the introduction of GSM service in INDIA big game players started to launch their CELL/ MOBILE GOODIES in the country of 100 million people. As soon as ESSAR CELLPHONES launched their services , MITTAL's BHARTI group was all set to compete with them. But due to high investments and low infrastructure in the start of the business nobody was enjoying keeping the toy called the 'MOBILE PHONE' with them as incoming call was at approx 13 rupees per minute and an outgoing call was apprx. 21 rupees. Which gave an idea that either this concept will fail or the MNC's and Govt should have another plan to support PLAN -A.

MORE DEVELOPMENTS

After some time there were some more development happening in the backstreet of the telecom industry. Governement making a seperate ministry for Telecom which started to really boost things up in the favour of the Telephones and people. MTNL was the only landline provider but soon the change was visible. The western market really influenced the Indian market and in early 90's cordless phones theory started the thoughts of MOBILE PHONES.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS

After the introduction of basic telephones the need was to develop it and thats what happened with some big and bigger players came to the market and lead to develop the telephone services.
Things became beter from good but again the scope of imrpovement is allways there.

The west world kept on inspiring the world eastwards and hence research and development was an onoing process. The instruments used for basic telephony started to shrink.
